We trained and worked for many years in the competition departments of elite international law firms. We have advised on some of the most challenging competition law matters, ranging from high profile cartel investigations, complex mergers and abuse of dominance cases, as well as state aid.
We chose to build our own specialist firm to focus on our clients, to free ourselves from conflicts of interest and to gain flexibility. Our goal is to provide legal advice of the highest quality to our clients, in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Euclid Law is an independent, boutique law firm and we do not face the same conflict positions as larger firms. We can therefore maintain the continuity of supervision across matters and the benefits of client and sector focus, rather than being forced to send loyal clients away to other firms due to conflicts. Our independence also means we are well placed to provide expert opinions and specialist competition mediation services.
Euclid Law is unique: we seek to be aligned with our major clients at all times and avoid taking on matters for other clients that could challenge that alignment. We follow our clients’ matters, wherever they may be and even if other firms are instructed, helping to provide overall strategic direction across their entire exposure to competition law risk.
Euclid Law operates a highly effective and innovative cost structure, enabling us to deliver a work product tailored to our clients’ needs. We do not rely on junior associate hours to cover large overheads. Specialist paralegals recruited from top universities conduct research and more administrative tasks. Our clients therefore receive strategic advice from senior experts at a cost that is very competitive. Euclid Law also offers alternative billing mechanisms, such as fixed fees, success fees and value billing.
Our business model means we are very flexible in our ways of working, and able to adapt to our clients’ preferred approach. Our senior lawyers work in close partnership with in-house legal and commercial teams.
In addition to working for corporations, we collaborate regularly with law firms in Europe and further afield. We are happy to assist law firms, either without a presence in Brussels or London, or without competition law expertise.
Euclid Law has offices in Brussels and London, allowing us to advise on both EU and UK competition law. This also enables us to be in close proximity to many of our clients, as well as the relevant competition authorities.
